The purpose of trauma-focused therapy is to provide skills and tools to assist the client in understanding, coping with, and processing emotions and memories tied to traumatic experiences. Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Trauma CBT (T-CBT) are proven trauma interventions that can decrease symptoms and increase empowerment.
